Selling on the Internet can be a rewarding experiance. Pick the wrong item to sell and it will be a costly and boring experiance.
What is it you want to sell? This can be the hardest part of starting any business. Lets start by thinking of something you really like to do,
after all you will be answering questions and working with your product alot. Perhaps something you are really really good at. Make a list of
potential things you might want to sell. The bigger this list the better.
The next thing you want to do is start weeding that list. Stuff that sells for only a few bucks is really hard to make money at, especially if
you rely on a dropshipper. If your product sells for only a few dollars each you might want to consider selling it only in bulk.
If an item is expensive it can also be expensive for you to stock and refund if something goes wrong.
The next thing you want to consider is who else is selling the item you want to sell. I mean your competition. If you have 10 million
competitors selling what you are selling then how are you going to stand out in the crowd. Consider a niche item. Stereos and TV's and Computers
are not niche items. A specialty or hard to get stereo or TV would be a niche item. Niche items are usually easier to build and market a
webpage for. Why? Well usually you have less competition and you are selling fewer items that people are actually actively search
for.
